NON-ALLITERATIVE TUESDAY: DEEP-FRIED EGGS

Non-Alliterative Tuesday: no obligations, no rhyme, reason or methodology other than that it's something relevant to food and goings-on in Kitchen Toro...

A few days ago in class one of the students was by the Level Three deep fryer at the Saucier station (Meat Station) doing something I'd never seen or thought of before, deep-frying eggs.

The eggs had first been frozen and then peeled of their shells. The results were eggcicles, not exactly the most appetizing of all frozen-tasty-treats but when dropped in the deep fryer and carefully watched and timed, they could be retrieved from the oil with runny yolks.

Now I'm not saying it would be healthy, but a deep-fried egg with runny-yolk, covered in hollandaise sauce sounds mighty tasty to me.
